Frequently asked
The questions we get asked most — about custom builds, servicing, rego checks and strut re-gassing. If yours isn't here, just call.
Custom builds
Do you really build any trailer, or just the ones listed?
Any of them. When we say we build it custom, we mean fully custom — whatever it is, with whatever parts are required, if it's possible we can create it. The categories on this site are just the common starting points; most trailers we build end up unique to the person towing them.
How does a custom build work?
Four steps. You get in touch and we ask plenty of questions to understand exactly what you're after. We draw up the plans. We build the whole thing start to finish in our Queanbeyan workshop, keeping you updated as it goes. Then you pick it up — and we're here afterwards if anything isn't right.
How long does a custom trailer take?
It depends entirely on the build — size, complexity and what parts need sourcing. Give us a call and we can talk you through a realistic timeframe for what you have in mind.
Where are the trailers built?
On site, at our workshop at 36 Stephens Road, Queanbeyan NSW. We build the entire thing from start to finish ourselves — Aussie made, owned and operated since 1984.
Service, repairs & rego
Can you service or repair a trailer you didn’t build?
Yes. We thoroughly inspect your trailer for any maintenance or repairs and carry out routine maintenance to make sure it's safe and ready to keep working. If it's broken we can fix it — anything from small repairs to custom fabrication to get you back on the road.
Do you do registration safety inspections?
Yes — we are a licensed provider of registration safety inspections for both NSW and ACT. Call us to book your safety inspection in.
What is strut re-gassing, and do you do it?
We're strut re-gas specialists servicing the ACT and surrounding areas. Rather than replacing a tired gas strut, we re-condition your original — and we can supply new ones and advise on fitting and pressure if that's the better option.
Do you stock spare parts?
We stock a large range of parts in the Queanbeyan workshop. If we don't have the specific part for your build, repair or service, we will source it.
Buying & the shop
Can I buy online and pick up locally?
Yes — order through the shop and collect from the Queanbeyan workshop. Local pick-up is free, and it means we can check the trailer over with you before you tow it away.
Do you deliver?
Freight on a trailer depends on its size and where it's going, so we quote it per order rather than guess. Get in touch and we'll sort it out with you.
What if I can’t find what I need in the shop?
Ask us. The shop is a fraction of what's in the workshop, and if we don't stock it we'll source it. Call (02) 6297 7709 and just tell us what you're after.
Visiting & aftercare
When are you open?
Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. We’re at 36 Stephens Road, Queanbeyan NSW 2620.
What happens if something goes wrong later?
We develop lasting partnerships with our clients, because we build their trailers to their exact needs — and continue to maintain and service those same trailers for many years afterwards. We hold a high standard of work and we do it until it's done right. If something isn't right, come back to us.
Why buy new when second-hand is cheaper?
Honestly? Our biggest competition are our second-hand trailers — they last, which is rather the point. A new build gets you exactly the trailer you need, in the size, tow rating and finish you actually want, backed by the people who made it.
